Rules for Football Summer League 2008
Play time: 2 x 20 min
Venue:
Lonsi grass pitch (2 x small pitches), Pitch1 (=kenttä 1) pitch on the
paper mill side, pitch 2 pitch on the harbor side
Players/team:
In a team there have to be 6 players and one goalie. Game can be
started with 5 players and a goalie.
Uniform:
Team must have a matching color shirts (same colored t-shirts are ok). Away team in the fixture is responsible of not having the same colored shirts as home team. If needed vests can be borrowed from referees.
Equipment:
Shoes (sneakers are ok), shirt & pants/shorts and shin pads are recommended. Goalies shirt must be of different color than playing teams shirts.
Referees:
All matches are refereed by P-Iirot reserve team players
Rules in detail:
· Rules are normal football rules
· In a nut shell:
o Fouls:
- Fouls are highlighted with yellow and red cards if needed, suspensions
also possible
- Extra notion will be focused on continuous judgment of referees,
violent behavior and disrespect of opponent
- There will not be two yellow cards, second bookable offence will result
in red card. Red card will immediately mean one match suspension
- Red card will be shown if player obstructs clear goal with violent
behavior
- Red card will be shown if player obstruct ball from going into goal or a
creation of goal change with hands (if not goalie)
- Red carded player is not to be replaced and the team will play with
one man less for the rest of the match
- Defending teams foul inside the penalty area will result into penalty
kick
- rasist behavior will result in straight red card
o Rules regarding goalies:
- Goal kick and openings can be kicked over the half way line
- After goalie has ball in his hands it must be played within 6 seconds
- Red card will be given to goalie if he plays ball with his hands outside
of the penalty area or obstructs clear goal change with violent
behavior
- Goal kick can be given from anywhere in the penalty area.
- If goalie takes his own players throw in or return by foot into his hands
an indirect free kick will be awarded
o General notes to rules:
- In all other than above mentioned case free kicks will be direct
- Normal throw ins and corner kicks
- Offside rule is not used
- Size of the matchball is 5
- In free kicks the wall has to be 5 meters away from ball
- Opening kick cannot be kicked straight into goal it has to be passed to
another player first.
Substitutions:
So called flying substitutions. Players will exit and enter the pitch from half way line.
So that player coming out has to leave the pitch before incoming player can enter it.
It is not allowed to exit the pitch from the end of the pitch and new player to enter
from different location.
Players:
· Player can only play in company and in one friend team
· Referee can also book substitutes and deny their access to game
· No players from 2nd division and upwards are allowed to play in the league
Forfit:
One forfit is allowed per team. If two games are forfitted then team will be closed
from series and scores will be changed to 3-0.
Season payment of the closed team will not be refunded
Match Postponding:
Matches can be only postponed if reasoning is good enough.
A match’s postponement has to be agreed between two teams representatives who
will then inform the date change to Pallo-Iirot in well advance. Postponed matches
should be played within 2 weeks of the original date.
Protest:
If team wants to file a protest it has to be done within 30 minutes after the match to referee.
A formal written protest has to be delivered to Pallo-Iirot office within 2 days after the match. Protest fee is 50€ and will be returned if protest is accepted by the jury.
Points:
For winning a match 3 points will be awarded and for a tie 1 point per team is awarded.
If teams are in equal points at the end of the season then positioning in table will be
decided by following criteria’s:
1. Goal difference
2. Amount of goals made
3. Match between the teams
4. Coin toss

Teams are not covered by insurance from the organizer so individual insurances
should be taken care by the players themselves.
